Future Workplace is In Diverse Company's online global mentoring programme and support network that aims to support and empower individuals to return to and enter the workplace. It focusses on supporting individuals from lower socio-economic backgrounds to succeed, enabling relationships virtually through technology and provides a variety of diverse perspectives for everyone globally to interact and share experiences through global mentoring relationships and conversations. We have established the Future Workplace Mentoring Programme to support people who want to enter or re-enter the workplace to ensure that:​

1. Everyone can gain meaningful and fulfilling work​

2. Everyone can access the same earning potential and be paid fairly

3. Organisational culture is improved and values the contribution that all employees make​​

4. Reduce unemployment, underemployment and under-representation of minority groups​

Future workplace

The programme is:

Inclusive - all genders can apply as mentees and mentors

Global - mentees will be matched with mentors from different locations/countries

Free of cost - there is no cost to be involved as a mentee or mentor, it is based on voluntary contribution

Future workplace focused - we focus on how the workplace will look like for all genders to succeed

Two-way or mutual - it is a reverse mentoring programme

Mental well-being focused - we believe that conversations and human connections can be really supportive

Flexible - how the relationship progresses, is discretionary to the mentors and mentees

Supportive to the participants - we provide support to all throughout their mentoring journeys and beyond

Goal focused - we provide with pre-, mid- and post- programme surveys to ensure that the goals and objectives of the mentoring are fulfilled

What we’re talking about

Johanna launched In Diverse Company in 2019 out of a strong belief that there was a better way to create and measure inclusive cultures.

We set up our events programme to share some truly inspirational stories and provide evidence of the power of inclusion within the workplace, as well as an opportunity for networking, talking through issues and challenges and creating a community for those working along a D&I journey.
