Overview of position:

You’ll bring a passion for equity, diversity and inclusion as well as for supporting organisations with behavioural change. The role will support strategic client development and continuing partnerships through project management and client communication, as well as supporting our internal team to be the best they can. You’ll work to support IDC’s CEO as well as working closely with all other IDC team members to maintain an overview of what the organisational priorities are and where there may be gaps or extra support needed.

Key responsibilities with this role include:

  • Leading the strategy for business development. This includes helping develop and maintain relationships with key clients, supporting from lead through to completion of delivery and any follow up.
  • Supporting ongoing partnerships. This includes keeping in touch with current, previous, and potential clients to keep up to date with their needs, as well as working with them to identify potential speakers for IDC events as well as offering the chance for them to participate in our annual events.
  • Overseeing projects and team resource. This includes mapping out confirmed and potential projects and planning team resource to ensure that we are identifying areas where we have availability and areas where we may need to consider extra resource and how to manage this.
  • Project management. Alongside other team members you will manage client projects, liaising with the internal IDC team to ensure milestones are met, as well as remaining a point of content for the client and communicating effectively throughout the contract.
  • Supporting IDC’s people. This includes supporting IDC’s CEO with business development meetings and communicating with clients/ potential clients, as well as ensuring the wider IDC team have what they need to do their job effectively.
  • Team management – effectively managing and supporting the development of a small globally dispersed team.
  • IDC brand – working with our marketing/ social media team to ensure that the website is kept up to date and that our brand messaging is clear and consistent.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest research and thought leadership in the areas of equality, diversity, inclusion, leadership, and wellbeing and disseminating this across our teams
  • Develop ideas for and contribute to thought leadership pieces, white papers, and IDC content.

 

Person specification:

  • A clear understanding of, or experience in Equity Diversity & Inclusion and/ or HR or Learning & Development
  • The ability to work within a start-up environment, support the wider and geographically spread and multifunctional team
  • Ability to develop great relationships with global clients
  • Influencing skills to effectively manage a broad range of both external and internal stakeholders
  • Effective at using O365 to analyse, communicate and present key information from a number of sources and produce engaging and informative presentations/ sharing of ideas both with clients and internal teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

Desirable

  • Experience with public and private sector business development, writing client proposals and presenting the suggested approach to potential clients
  • Experience in (preferably global) organisations where you have been involved in their ED&I agenda
  • Experience of working with globally dispersed teams
  • Experience of working with external clients and undertaking business development

This role can be offered as a part-time or full-time position. The role will primarily home based, however occasional travel to Mumbai may be required for team or client meetings.

Salary:

1,000,000 – 1,500,000 INR per annum FT, dependent on location and experience
