Job vacancy - Senior Consultant (HR) - UK

We are looking to recruit someone with an experience in HR and a passion for equity, diversity and inclusion (ED&I). The role will involve working on client engagement, project delivery, as well as internal product development with an HR lens. The individual will work closely with IDC’s CEO and Leadership team, as well as learning content and data teams.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Project leadership – Leading on client engagement and project management, performing project tasks (e.g., building a learning strategy) independently, as well as guiding & supervising the efforts of other consultants
  • Business development – winning private and public sector work. This will involve identifying relevant opportunities, writing proposals, negotiating as well as maintaining and expanding client relationships
  • Product development – helping refine our consultancy process, ensuring our existing product catalogues are updated with the latest developments in the field, and developing new products
  • Learning content development – working with our content team to develop new ideas and fresh approaches to creating engaging content to help create behaviour change and habit formation (both online and offline)
  • Client delivery – this includes but is not limited to; delivery of focus groups, facilitating learning sessions, conducting policy audits, designing ED&I strategies, and advising clients on what will have a measurable impact
  • Content writing – Develop ideas for and contribute to thought leadership pieces and white papers

 

Person specification:

Essential

  • Expertise in HR and talent management/ OD (e.g., experience with HR policies, designing and delivering programmes, designing HR/ ED&I strategies)
  • A clear understanding of and experience in ED&I
  • Experience working on ED&I and/or human capital consulting
  • The ability to work within a start-up environment, support the geographically spread and multifunctional team
  • Experience in coaching individuals and teams.
  • Experience in using diagnostic tools / 360o / business assessments
  • Knowledge and skills in monitoring and evaluation of programmes
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

 

Desirable

  • Experience with public sector tenders and bid writing as well as within the private sector, writing client proposals and presenting the suggested approach to potential clients
  • Experience in working with external clients and undertaking business development
  • Qualification in coaching and HR
  • Ability to understand and effectively communicate findings from qualitative and quantitative research
