Overview of position:

The role of Tech Architect is varied and exciting. You will use both technical and customer-facing skills to deliver world class architectural solutions across different sectors with large global organisations. You will facilitate relationships with different stakeholders, as well as use your technical background to easily interact and give guidance to software developers and senior leadership in IDC. You will also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.

Key responsibilities:

o Responsible for researching, analysing, designing, proposing, and delivering solutions that support and enhance business and technologies strategies.

o Design the technical architecture to address business requirements, including the design of system configurations (hardware, software, and messaging, as appropriate), solving complex problems in realms where solutions may not currently exist, necessitating new solutions / ways of working / technologies and proactively articulating these to the business

o Develop relationships across the business to understand requirements, applying deep technical knowledge of product or capability to solve business problems and working closely with development teams to oversee implementation

o Guide others in resolving complex issues in technical architecture and solving complex, escalated aspects of a project and contribute to project management activities, such as providing estimates for tasks

o Work across multidisciplinary teams and with the business to deliver simple and easy to use systems that meet user needs and gain stakeholder buy-in

o Provide coaching and support to development teams during blueprinting and implementation phases

o Contribute to development standards to promote optimisation and consistency (including code modularisation and reuse)

o Monitor and analyse industry technology trends to determine their potential impact or application for IDC and apply that knowledge to architecture designs.

o Identify architectural risks and plans to mitigations risks, adherence to standards and best practices.

Person specification:

o Effectively able to communicate and influence others towards moving to future state architectures, leading by example.

o Deep understanding of Cloud Computing technology, business drivers and emerging computing trends

o Recommend Collaboration solutions using your technical breadth across multiple areas

o Manage multiple relationships across In Diverse Company, our partners and customers to identify new product features and feature gaps, provide guidance on existing products.

o Develop market strategies that result in revenues and organisational success

o Proven and effective leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with others through conflicting pressures and priorities while resolving complex issues.
