Indra Nooyi’s Pepsi Exit Means Another Female CEO Replaced by a Man (via Bloomberg)

A great question posed by Heather Foust-Cummings at the end of this article.  Why indeed do we expect women CEOs to recruit a female successor and not put the same scrutiny on male CEO’s choice of successor? Although in the same article, frustrating to read this comment from Tom Flannery;  “Despite the advances that females have made over the last 10 years, and the big push that’s going on to get them into executive positions, if you look at the talent pool of available individuals, it’s going to be mostly men”.  Interesting perspective, I wonder what the criteria/eligibility for these talent pools are if they are devoid of females?
